- About this project
This is an independent reference site about broadband coverage and published line quality in the United Kingdom. It is run privately and funded privately. Independent site. Not affiliated with Ofcom.
It exists because of one awkward fact. People search for the speed of their postcode, and since 2024 no such figure is published. The honest answer has three parts: what is no longer measured, what is published instead, and at which geography each published figure is valid. Most pages that chase this search give a confident number instead. We give the published one with its period, its unit and its rounding allowance attached.
We publish no editor photograph, no founder profile and nothing to subscribe to. Where Ofcom suppresses a figure, we leave it suppressed. Where two figures come from different periods or different units, we refuse the comparison and say why.
The rules we hold ourselves to are on the methodology page: one accepted version per release, the publisher's own geography, no postcode speed, no averaging of band averages, and no number we cannot reproduce from the file we kept.

What this does not mean
What this page does not show
since 2024 we no longer report on speeds at postcode level
the figures provided here can be compared with the ones reported in 2024 but are not directly comparable with the ones from earlier years
We only include output areas with speed information for at least five lines
